Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching is a supportive, thought-provoking process that helps you find your own answers.
A coach does not tell you what to do, hand you a perfect plan, or claim to have the answer to your life’s biggest questions. Instead, coaching uses meaningful questions, reflection, and practical tools to help you understand yourself more clearly … your values, strengths, challenges, desires, and next steps.
You are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a space where you can think honestly, see possibilities you may not have seen before, and move forward with intention.
-
No. Coaching is not about receiving someone else’s answers.
It can be tempting to look for a person who will say, “This is what you should do.” But the most sustainable decisions are the ones that come from your own values, needs, circumstances, and vision.
Through coaching, I will ask questions that help you explore what matters to you. Together, we can clarify your goals, identify what may be holding you back, and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for your life.

Designing Your Life is the practice of intentionally shaping your life around who you are…not around what looks successful, exciting, or impressive for someone else.
It means taking time to ask questions such as:
What truly matters to me?
What kind of life do I want to build?
What are my values and priorities right now?
What does success mean to me?
What resources, responsibilities, and realities do I need to consider?
What small steps can I take toward the life I want?
Your life does not have to follow a copied formula. It can be designed with awareness, courage, flexibility, and a plan that fits your own reality.
-
You can certainly be inspired by other people, but inspiration is different from imitation.
You may see someone online saying, “You only live once…quit your job, travel the world, and follow your dreams.” That may be right for them. But their financial situation, family responsibilities, personality, goals, opportunities, and risk tolerance may be very different from yours.
Before following someone else’s path, it is worth asking:
Is this truly my dream, or am I comparing myself to someone else?
Does this fit my current responsibilities and financial situation?
What would this choice mean for my wellbeing and future?
What is the version of freedom, success, or happiness that is meaningful to me?
Copy-and-paste life plans rarely work. Your path deserves to be built for you.
-
Not at all.
Sometimes coaching leads to major changes. More often, it helps people make small, intentional changes that create a meaningful difference over time.
Your goal may be to change careers, improve confidence, set boundaries, build healthier routines, make a difficult decision, or simply understand yourself better. There is no “right” size of goal. Coaching meets you where you are.
-
Each session is a confidential space focused on you and what you want to explore.
Depending on your needs, we may:
Clarify a goal or decision
Explore your values, strengths, and priorities
Identify patterns, beliefs, or obstacles
Use reflective exercises and practical tools
Create realistic next steps
Review progress and adjust your plan
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. You only need openness and a willingness to explore.

Empathic listening means listening with genuine attention, respect, and care.
It is more than simply hearing words. It means making space for your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and perspective without rushing to judge, fix, advise, or compare.
Many people are used to being interrupted, misunderstood, or given advice before they have had the chance to fully express themselves. Empathic listening offers something different: a space to be heard.
-
“Be Heard” is an invitation to speak openly and be met with presence and understanding.
Sometimes, you may not need an immediate solution. You may need to say what is on your mind, sort through your feelings, or hear yourself think in a calm and supportive space.
Being heard can bring clarity. When we feel safe enough to express what is really happening inside us, we are often better able to understand what we need and what comes next.
-
No. Coaching, therapy, and counselling can all be valuable, but they serve different purposes.
Coaching is generally future-focused and goal-oriented. It supports you in gaining clarity, making decisions, taking action, and creating change in your life.
Therapy and counselling may be more appropriate when you need support with mental health concerns, trauma, grief, or healing from past experiences. If those needs arise, seeking support from a qualified mental-health professional is important.
-
Coaching may be helpful if you are:
Feeling stuck or uncertain about your next step
Considering a life, career, or relationship change
Trying to make a decision that feels difficult
Wanting to set goals that are truly yours
Feeling disconnected from what you want
Ready to build a practical plan for a meaningful future
Looking for a non-judgmental space to think and reflect
-
No. It is completely okay to begin with uncertainty.
You may only know that something feels unclear, unsatisfying, or ready to change. Coaching can help you turn that feeling into understanding, direction, and action…at your own pace.
-
You can expect a respectful, thoughtful, and supportive partnership.
I will not tell you to copy someone else’s life, chase an image of success, or make choices that do not fit your reality. Instead, I will support you in discovering what matters to you and creating a path that is aligned with your own values, circumstances, and goals.
This is your life. You deserve goals that are genuinely yours…and a plan to move toward them.
