I believe life is not something we simply find…it is something we choose to design.
Hi, I’m Walaipun (May) a coach, business consultant, freediving instructor, and lifelong learner based in Bali.
For 13 years, I built my career in the FMCG industry, working across business development, customer experience, digital transformation, commercial strategy, marketing, project management, and team capability building. My professional journey included senior roles with global companies, as well as international project consulting experience.
Along the way, I discovered that what matters most to me is not only achieving results, but helping people grow: to see new possibilities, build confidence, develop their strengths, and take meaningful action. I am an ICF-certified coach, Designing Your Life and Design Thinking coach, and have more than 10 years of experience in coaching and training.
At 40, I chose to step away from my 9-to-5 corporate career and follow a different path, one that I had intentionally designed for myself.
I moved around South East Asia, and now live in the dream home that I designed myself from an iPad, without formal architectural training. It was a challenging process, but also a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when we trust ourselves, stay curious, and are willing to learn along the way.
Today, I consider myself a full-time freediving athlete. My personal goal is to reach 100 metres before I turn 45 years young. I train with dedication, teach freediving, and support divers who want to improve their equalization, confidence, and connection with the water.
Retiring at 40 to follow my own Odyssey Plan
My freediving journey is about more than reaching 100 metres. One day, I dream of competing at the World Championships, not only for myself, but to show that a not-so-tall Thai woman can dive deep, train hard, and belong on the world stage.
I hope to represent Thailand with pride and help bring Thai freediving to a wider international audience. The journey is still long, and there is much to learn, train for, and overcome, but that is exactly what makes the dream meaningful.
For now, I am committed to the process: showing up for training, learning from every dive, staying patient, and trusting that consistent action can take us further than we first imagine.
A bigger dream: diving deep for Thailand
A life of learning, depth, and possibility
I grew up in Thai culture, with Buddhism and spiritual beliefs deeply woven into my life. I draw on them as gentle guidance, not as fixed rules or fate.
I believe that our lives are shaped by the choices we make, the actions we take, and the courage to begin before we feel fully ready. I believe there is far more we can do than we often give ourselves credit for.
When I am not coaching, consulting, or training, you will find me in Bali, training in the water, fostering two Bali street dogs, continuing to study through online courses or joining workshops, and dreaming about the next part of the world I will explore.
Because I believe we are never too old to learn, change direction, or create a life that feels more like our own.

Design a life that feels like your own.
My life is still a work in progress. I am still training, learning, building, changing, and dreaming. But I am choosing it intentionally, and I believe you can, too.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Start with one honest question:
“What would a life that feels truly yours look like?”
